Heat supply halted in settlement in Amur Reg due to breakdown

Two boilers were switched off because a heat supply pipeline broke

KHABAROVSK, January 12 (Itar-Tass) - A breakdown of a heat supply system in the settlement of Magdagachi in the Amur Region has left 632 people, including 107 children, without heat in apartment buildings, a source at the Emergencies Ministry's Amur regional department told Itar-Tass on Saturday.

Two boilers were switched off because a heat supply pipeline broke. The pipeline system was emptied of water.

The temperature is 26 degrees below zero in the settlement, and it will fall to 32 degrees of frost by the night.

Following the emergency commission's decision, a warm station is opened for people. The repair work is planned to be completed by 17:00 local time this Saturday, the source said.
