Cash messengers prevent mobile phone outlet plunder in Moscow

MOSCOW, January 7 (Itar-Tass) —— Cash messengers have prevented a mobile phone outlet robbery in Moscow, a spokesman for the Moscow police department said on Monday.

“At about 19:40 Moscow time, two unidentified persons came into the mobile phone outlet located at 25, General Kuznetsov Street. Threatening the personnel with an object resembling a handgun, they took money from the cash register and cell phones. They were about to leave the shop when the cash messengers arrived and detained one of the robbers,” the spokesman said. The man has the stolen money and phones.

The other robber managed to flee the scene by a car driven by their accomplice.

The police have staged an operation to catch the criminals. An investigation is underway.
