Stripped of parental rights resident of Tula region kidnaps his son

The man threatens to kill the child, if the latter is not left to him for parental care

MOSCOW, January 5 (Itar-Tass) — A stripped of parental rights and drunken resident of the Tula Region kidnapped his child and threatens to kill the latter, if the son is not left to him for parental care, the press centre of the Russian Interior Ministry told Itar-Tass on Saturday.

“A drunken man, born in 1980, who was stripped of his parental rights, came at about 23:00 Moscow time on Friday to the house of his relative, a grandmother of his son that cares for the child, and threatening with the knife, kidnapped the 3-year-old son and brought the latter to his house,” the press centre said.

The elderly woman called the police, which with the support of the police commandoes fenced off the house, where the man with the inadequate behaviour had entrenched. He stated to the policemen, who are talking to him, that he wants to leave the child for his care, while threatening the son with the knife constantly. The police are seeking to talk the kidnapper into setting the child free and surrendering.
