ODESSA, January 4 (Itar-Tass) — Building of the Tavriya-V supermarket, which was in the phase of construction in the southern Ukrainian city of Odessa, collapsed Friday afternoon, inflicting traumas on three people, the press service of the Odessa regional branch of Ministry for Emergency Situations said in a report.
At the time of reporting, rescue workers continue clearing away the rubble, which might still keep some people captive.
Executives of a company that was building the supermarket refrained from specifying any possible causes of the collapse.
Police units sealed off the site of the accident.
