PETROPAVLOVSK-KAMCHATSKY, December 31 (Itar-Tass) —— The freight refrigerator ship Korsakov, which got in distress in the Sea of Okhotsk off the coast of the Kamchatka Peninsula on December 28, was successfully towed to the port of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky on Monday. The large refrigerator trawler Island Sakhalin towed the distressed ship to the anchorage in the Avacha Bay, the Kamchatka sea rescue sub-center told Itar-Tass on Monday.
The refrigerator vessel Korsakov, which is registered at the port Nevelsk and belongs to the Sakhalin company Hydrostroy, got in distress 27 kilometres away from the port Ozernoy on the south-western coast of Kamchatka. The rudder blade has jammed in the trawler.
