KRASNOYARSK, December 28 (Itar-Tass) — The gas cylinder exploded in a private three-storey cottage under construction in the settlement Yemelyanovo. The gas blast did not trigger a fire, the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations told Itar-Tass on Friday.
Forty-three people and 11 units of machinery, including 31 emergency workers and seven units of machinery are working at the gas blast site.
According to the emergency warning service in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the gas blast in the settlement Yemelyanovo, which is situated 30 kilometres away from Krasnoyarsk, set off at 18:20 local time (14:20 Moscow time) on Friday. 22 people were injured in the gas blast.
“The condition of 22 people wounded in the gas explosion is heavy and moderately heavy. All of them got burns, a patient underwent a surgery. The most severely injured people were brought to the hospitals in Krasnoyarsk. All injured people are labour migrants,” the reception ward of the Yemelyanovo district hospital told Itar-Tass on Friday.
