Fire onboard trawler Okhotnik put out fully in Vladivostok

VLADIVOSTOK, December 23 (Itar-Tass) — The fire was put out completely onboard the trawler Okhotnik in Vladivostok. The cardboard containers for fish caught fire in the hold of the ship on Sunday morning.

24 firemen were pouring the water in the hold all day long, and the fire was extinguished fully at 18:36 local time (11:36 Moscow time), the press service of the Primorsky territorial emergency situation department told Itar-Tass.

The trawler Okhotnik had a crew of five people, one of them got poisoned with carbon dioxide and was hospitalized. Other crewmen left the trawler timely and were not injured.

The fire has spread on 80 square meters onboard the trawler.

The fishing trawler is 60 meters long and has a water displacement of 1,667 tonnes. The trawler Okhotnik is registered at the port Nakhodka.
