MOSCOW, December 20 (Itar-Tass) — President Vladimir Putin said Russia has given up the idea to hold the G-8 meeting in Skolkovo in 2014, and will offer another location instead. Speaking at a news conference on Thursday, the head of state explained this decision by the fact that the construction of facilities in the innovation center would not be finished by 2014.
Also, holding the summit in Skolkovo would seriously inconvenience the Muscovites. "That is why we'll offer another venue," he said.
