KIEV, December 16 (Itar-Tass) — An explosion shook a high-rising apartment building in Kharkov on Sunday. Rescuers are working at the blast site, the UNIAN news agency reports.

According to the agency, the blast occurred on the ninth floor of a 16-storied building.

“Igor Lupandin, assistant head of the main department of the Emergencies Ministry of Ukraine, confirmed the blast reports. At the moment, Lupandin has left for the call. He has promised to report the details from the scene,” the agency went on to say.
