NALCHIK, December 15 (Itar-Tass) —— A bomb explosion was prevented in central Nalchik on Saturday.
Operatives of the Interior Ministry of the Republic of Kabardino-Balkaria and the Russian Interior Ministry's department in Nalchik found a homemade explosive device at about 13:30 Moscow time on Saturday, when they checked received information, a police source in the republic told Itar-Tass. .
The bomb made of 400 grammes of TNT and an F-1 grenade with a fuse and filled with dowels and 5,45-mm cartridges was found hidden in the ground near a crossing of streets, a spokesman for the Interior Ministry's press service said.
It was dangerous to transport the bomb, and it was destroyed at the site with care.
