MOSCOW, December 14 (Itar-Tass) —— Russia is ready to discuss a possible resolution of the UN Security Council in retaliation to North Korea’s launch of the space rocket, spokesman for the Russian Foreign Ministry Alexander Lukashevich said on Friday.

“We believe that it is an absolutely logical step to put up for debates in the UN Security Council the question of further actions over this rocket launch,” the Russian diplomat said in reply to the question about the approval of a possible resolution. “As for the way the UN Security Council will give its response to this fact, we are absolutely open to discuss constructively different modalities of this response that can acquire absolutely different forms,” he said.

Meanwhile, Lukashevich noted that this response should promote a higher UN Security Council authority and meet the interests of international security and the restoration of some progress in the negotiations.
