MOSCOW, December 12 (Itar-Tass) — It is still early at the moment to speak about updating the existing plans for the development of Russia, President Vladimir Putin said in his state-of-the-nation address on Wednesday.

Putin reminded the audience that in his “pre-election articles and then in May decrees” he had “set forth in detail our position, our plans for mid-term and long-term prospects”. “This concerned all directions of our activity, our life – economy, the social sphere, domestic policy and international affairs, as well as security issues,” the president said.

“Our plans are developed in these documents in detail, sometimes with figures and time frames. Some of them are already being implemented,” he added. “For example, raising salaries to teachers and some other things. Necessary legal framework has been formed on all other positions. Work has started,” the president said, stressing that “it is so far early to speak about major corrections”.

He pledged that work on these plans “will continue, and all that has been planned will be faithfully executed”.
