MOSCOW, December 11 (Itar-Tass) — The Main Investigation Department of the Russian Investigation Committee is investigating a criminal case against Sergei Udaltsov, Leonid Razvozzhayev, his aide Konstantin Lebedev and other defendants, who are accused of masterminding massive disorders in Moscow and other Russian regions.
“During the preliminary investigation the evidence was gathered, proving the funding by Givi Targamadze (head of the Georgian parliamentary committee for defence and security) of the illegal activities of Udaltsov, Razvozzhayev, Lebedev over masterminding massive disorders in Russia,” spokesman for the Russian Investigation Committee Vladimir Markin told Itar-Tass on Tuesday.
“The detectives found that in spring 2012 the groups of Russian citizens went from various regions in the Republic of Lithuania to attend a seminar, which was devoted to a possible seizure of power following the example of the ‘coloured’ revolutions, which broke out earlier in other countries. The criminal materials proved that Moscow residents Taisia Alexandrova, Anna Kornilova and Yuri Nabutovsky attended these seminars,” Markin said.
“Since the preliminary investigation bodies have some reasons to believe that there could have been some objects and documents, which are important for the criminal case and identify other people, who are involved in this crime, at the residence places of the foresaid citizens, the searches were made at the residence places of Alexandrova, Kornilova and Nabutovsky under relevant court sanctions in the morning on December 11,” Markin said.
“In the searches, which are already over, electronic information mediums, which contain the literature for the overthrow of the incumbent authorities, as well as other objects and documents, which are important for the criminal case, were confiscated. People, at the residence places of whom the searches were made, were brought in the Investigation Committee for interrogations as witnesses,” Vladimir Markin said.
The criminal case was opened over masterminding massive disorders against Udaltsov, Lebedev and Razvozzhayev after an inquiry in the facts, which were showed in the film Anatomy of Protest-2. The detectives found that the film showed a meeting between the oppositionists and chairman of the Georgian parliamentary committee for defence and security Givi Targamadze and the debates over masterminding massive disorders in Russia with the funding from abroad.
In this criminal case Udaltsov was put on recognizance not to leave the city, Lebedev and Razvozzhayev were arrested. The accusations were brought against three of them that can face up to five years in prison.
