TVER, December 4 (Itar-Tass) —— Traffic along the federal M-10 “Rossiya” highway linking Moscow and St Petersburg was normal at four p.m. Moscow time, Russia’s Traffic Police department for the Tver region reported on Tuesday.
At the approaches to Vyshny Volochyuk automobiles travelled at the speed not over 20-30 kilometers per hour because of the low traffic capacity of roads in the city thorough which M-10 highway passes and the operation of traffic lights, sources in the department report. Traffic police forecasts that the situation on the federal highway can be complicated only by delays with cleaning roads and treating them with the sand-and-salt mixture.
The Main Department of Russia’s Ministry for Emergency Situations for the Tver region and the regional traffic police department suggest that motorists should refrain from rides or take alternative routes to Moscow and St Petersburg.
