Detectives prepare to pass criminal case against 12 Bolotnaya defendants to court

MOSCOW, November 30 (Itar-Tass) —— The Russian Investigation Committee will submit a criminal case soon against 12 defendants, who are accused of the disorders on the Bolotnaya Square in Moscow on May 6, 2012.

“Today the detectives decided to institute separate criminal proceedings against 12 defendants over the end to the process of gathering guilty evidence against them” from a common criminal case over massive disorders and the use of violence against the law enforcers, spokesman for the Russian Investigation Committee Vladimir Markin told Itar-Tass on Friday.

“Today the defendants and the lawyers will be informed about the end of the investigation,” he added, noting that depending on the role of each of them they are charged with the participation in massive disorders, the use of violence against law enforcers and the appeals to an active disobedience to the lawful demands of the law enforcers and massive disorders.
