VIENNA, November 30 (Itar-Tass) — Russia does not supply offensive weapons to Syria, chief of the RF presidential administration, Sergei Ivanov.
“We do not supply offensive weapons,” he said, stressing that the supplies are limited to defensive weapons.
“We deliver non-destabilising weapons under previously signed contracts. So that Syria could defend itself against external threats,” Ivanov said. He also pointed out that there have been “no decisions on imposing an arms supply embargo on Syria.”
