NOVO-OGAREVO, November 30 (Itar-Tass) — Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that he will deliver an annual presidential state-of-the-nation address to the Federal Assembly in the middle of December.
“I and the presidential administration are working actively on the final variant of an annual presidential state-of-the-nation address this year,” the president said at a meeting with the leaders of the State Duma factions on Friday.
In reply to a question of leader of the Russian Communist Party Gennady Zyuganov, when a state-of-the-nation address is expected, Putin said, “We are planning that an annual presidential state-of-the-nation address should be delivered in the middle of December.”
Putin recalled that 2012 was “the year of presidential elections, many issues were laid down in my election program articles and decrees (signed on May 7).” “But all the same the state-of-the-nation address is the state-of-the-nation address and it should be delivered,” the president noted.
The president acknowledged that “it would be very useful and interesting for me to listen to the recommendations for the content of an annual presidential state-of-the-nation address to the Russian Federal Assembly.”
