It is a 152-millimeter artillery shell with a detonating fuse

MOSCOW, November 29 (Itar-Tass) — A WWII shell with a detonating fuse has been unearthed in a Moscow northwestern suburb, a spokesman for Moscow’s emergencies department told Itar-Tass on Thursday.

According to the spokesman, the shell was found during exercises at a riot police training ground in the district Khoroshevo-Mnevniki. “The WWII shell was spotted by divers who trained combat skills in conditions of poor visibility. According to preliminary data, it is a 152-millimeter artillery shell with a detonating fuse,” the spokesman said.

A buoy was placed over the place. The situation is under control. Later in the day, rescuers will take the shell out of water to destroy it.
