MAKHACHKALA, November 29 (Itar-Tass) — Officers of the Russian Investigation Committee and policemen were attacked in Makhachkala overnight to Thursday.
The law enforcers came to local resident Shamil Gasanov, 39, to search in his residence place, the republican Interior Ministry told Itar-Tass on Thursday. Gasanov opened fire at them. He was destroyed in the retaliatory fire. “No law enforcers were killed or injured,” a source in the republican Interior Ministry said.
A pistol PM with the wiped out numbers, nine 9-mm cartridge shells, a holster and pieces of the grenade were found at the crime scene.
The criminal case was opened under two articles of the Russian Criminal Code for the attempt on the life of law enforcer and the illegal circulation of weapons and ammunition.
