MOSCOW, November 29 (Itar-Tass) — The inner opposition is ready to negotiate with Syria’s authorities changes of the political regime, Aref Dalila of National Coordination Committee for Democratic Change told reporters on Thursday.
“We are ready not for a dialogue, but for negotiations with authorities of Syria to discuss changes of the political regime,” he said upon arrival in Moscow, where the Committee’s delegation with have a meeting with Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
“There are two terms – a dialogue and negotiations,” the oppositionist said. ”We say that the regime is seeking a dialogue, while we are speaking about negotiations on change of the power.”
Head of the National Coordination Committee Hassan Abdel Azim said the Committee wants to change radically Syria’s present regime so that to establish a democratic one. “We insist the revolution is peaceful and the bloodshed is over,” Azim said. “The Committee has always tried to unite the opposition on these principles.” He said that he is categorically against outside interference in Syria.
