Gang of drug dealers busted in Novosibirsk

About 10 kilograms of synthetic drugs that is more than 500,000 doses were confiscated thanks to scope of search and investigative actions

NOVOSIBIRSK, November 28 (Itar-Tass) — The Novosibirsk regional department of the Federal Service for Control over the Circulation of Drugs was busted. The drug trafficking gang had the channel for the delivery of synthetic drugs from Vladivostok to the Novosibirsk Region and other regions in the Siberian Federal District, the press service of the Novosibirsk regional department of the Russian drug watchdog reported on Wednesday.

A member of the drug trafficking gang was detained last October. He received the parcels with drugs, packed them in small batches and planted in the caches. About five kilograms of synthetic drugs were confiscated from him. Meanwhile, other members of the drug trafficking gang continued their criminal activities.

Last week in the Zheleznodorozhny district on the premises of the transportation company the operatives detained four young people, who received three parcels with audio recording systems, in which the banned substance JWN-122F with a total weight of four kilograms and 982 grams was hidden. The synthetic drugs were also packed in the polymeric containers and attached to the inside panels of the subwoofers. The gang of the drug dealers, which was headed by a 22-year-old unemployed resident of the Novosibirsk district, was selling synthetic drugs for six months.

The drug trafficking gang had permanent buyers, including in the Altai Territory, the Kemerovo Region and the Russian republic of Khakassia.

About ten kilograms of synthetic drugs that is more than 500,000 doses were confiscated thanks to the scope of search and investigative actions. The criminal case was opened under Article 228.1 Part 3 of the Russian Criminal Code that envisages up to 20 years in prison.
