Cossacks to patrol Moscow streets

Patrolling will be conducted by volunteers jointly with police

MOSCOW, November 26 (Itar-Tass) — Cossacks will patrol Moscow streets, according to the agreement reached by Moscow district administrations and police.

“Today Cossacks will patrol the area around the Belarussky Railway Terminal. In the future, the routes for walking police support volunteer patrols will be expanded to protect order in the parks,” a law enforcement official told Itar-Tass on Monday, November 26.

He noted that patrolling will be conducted by volunteers jointly with police.
