GORKI, November 26 (Itar-Tass) — The candidature to the post of Russian Space Systems head has not been determined yet, head of the Russian Federal Space Agency Vladimir Popovkin said.
“Till now it is early to talk about it. We are considering several candidatures. The decision has been taken yet,” Popovkin told journalists on Monday.
In his words, at the moment, Russian Space Systems former deputy general director for economy Andrei Chimiris takes over as acting executive director.
Popovkin declined to specify the term when the RSS head could be appointed. “As the candidature is coordinated, all necessary measures will be taken,” he said.
RSS former head Yuri Urlichich wrote a letter of resignation on medical grounds although he was removed from exercising the GLONASS project due to revealed facts of corruption.
