MOSCOW, November 23 (Itar-Tass) —— The Khamovnichesky District Court of Moscow put under home arrest former head of the department of proprietary relations of the Russian Defence Ministry Yevgeny Vasilyeva, who is accused in the Oboronservis criminal case. Thus, the court satisfied the request of the detectives.
“To meet the request of the detective, put Vasilyeva under home arrest,” press secretary of the court Darya Lyakh quoted the court verdict.
Vasilyeva is charged under Article 159 Part 3 of the Russian Criminal Code for a massive fraud that envisages up to six years in prison. “The detectives found that Vasilyeva along with other accomplices is involved in the misappropriation of property from the subsidiaries of the Oboronservis holding to the tune of more than 360 million roubles,” spokesman for the Russian Investigation Committee Vladimir Markin said.
