PARIS, November 23 (Itar-Tass) —— Russia will buy small twin-hull landing ships in France in order to use them for the helicopter carriers Mistral, which are being built, Russian Ambassador in France Alexander Orlov said about the projects of Russian-French military cooperation here on Friday.

The construction of two first helicopter carriers at the shipyards in Saint Nazaire “continues according to the schedule: the first helicopter carrier will be delivered in 2014, the second one in 2015,” the ambassador said. “Additional contracts were concluded as well.
