MOSCOW, November 23 (Itar-Tass) — The State Duma plans at its meeting on December 14 to consider at the first reading the government's draft law on "public health protection from exposure to tobacco smoke", First Vice-Speaker Alexander Zhukov (United Russia) said on Friday, presenting the legislative plans for December to the deputies.
Consideration of another important draft law "on the federal contract system for procurement of goods, work and services" at the second reading is planned for the same day, December 14.
The second reading of the new basic law on education is planned for December 11, as Speaker Sergei Naryshkin said earlier.
The government's draft laws calling for tougher measures against crime and administrative offences, organization of illegal migration and violations in production and sales of ethyl alcohol and alcohol products are planned to be discussed at the first reading on December 19.
The State Duma will have six meetings in December.
