YEKATERINBURG, November 22 (Itar-Tass) — The head of Burneftegaz oil and gas company is suspected of giving a bribe worth five million rubles to employees of the Russian Interior Ministry department for the Urals Federal District.

The investigative department of the Russian Investigation Committee for the Tyumen region told Itar-Tass on Thursday that the company head was facing criminal charges under two articles of the Russian Penal Code: graft in huge amounts and mediation in bribery in huge amount. In October and November this year, the entrepreneur used his connections with former law enforcers to hand over bribes to employees of the Russian Interior Ministry department for the Urals Federal District whom he asked to stop prosecution against him.

All policemen linked to this criminal case will be dismissed.
