MOSCOW, November 19 (Itar-Tass) — Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu has appointed Maria Kitayeva as his adviser, the minister’s spokesperson, Darya Zatulina, told Itar-Tass on Monday.
“Maria Kitayeva has been appointed adviser of Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu,” Zatulina said.
Earlier, Kitayeva worked as TV anchor on Rossiya 24 Channel. In the summer she was appointed as adviser to the Moscow Region governor for information policy.
Earlier, reshuffles were made in the Defence Ministry leadership. Colonel-General Valery Gerasimov was appointed as chief of Russia’s General Staff and first deputy defence minister. Arkady Bakhin took the position of first deputy defence minister. Ruslan Tsalikov and Yuri Borisov were appointed as deputies minister. Yuri Sadovenko was head of the ministry’s office.
