Car knocking down 3 people to death in Moscow skids on oncoming lane

The police and the emergency services are working at the incident site

MOSCOW, November 19 (Itar-Tass) — The woman driver of the car, which ran down people to death at the bus stop in Moscow, skidded on the oncoming lane before the road accident, the Moscow police told Itar-Tass on Monday.

The tragedy occurred at 19/38, Onezhskaya Street, on Monday.

“The woman, which was driving a Honda-CRV car, skidded on the oncoming lane for the unclear reason and jumped on the walkway, after that knocked down people standing near the bus stop. Then the car has stuck in the pylon of the electric power line, as a result the woman driver was squeezed in the car,” the Moscow police said.

According to preliminary reports, three people died of wounds instantaneously, the woman driver and a pedestrian got various wounds.

The police and the emergency services are working at the incident site. The investigation into the road accident continues.

This is not the first similar road accident in Moscow for the last few months. For instance, on September 22, Alexander Maksimov, who was under the affect of alcohol and drugs, ran down seven people to death at the bus stop. Five teenagers, who are the winners of the Moscow festival of arts of children with disabilities “We are together!”, were killed. The court arrested Maksimov for the time of investigation. The police reported that he was already stripped of driving license for drunken driving in 2010.
