MOSCOW, November 19 (Itar-Tass) — Head of the Supreme Council of the United Russia party Boris Gryzlov by the RF presidential decree has been appointed Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom. The text of the presidential decree “On members of the Supervisory Board of the State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom” is posted on the Kremlin website.
Boris Gryzlov will succeed on the post in Rosatom RF Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin, who held the post of Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the State Corporation since September 4, 2012.
The Supervisory Board of Rosatom is the corporation’s supreme governing body. It consists of nine members, including eight representatives of the RF President and RF Prime Minister, as well the Director General.
Rosatom unites 240 enterprises and research organisations: civil companies of Russia’s nuclear industry sector, enterprises of the nuclear weapons complex, research organisations, as well as the nuclear icebreaker fleet.
