Palestinian Ambassador in Moscow Fayed Mustafa: Israeli warplanes deliver air strikes on Gaza during visit of Egypt PM

Ambassador is monitoring the current tense situation online

MOSCOW, November 16 (Itar-Tass) — The Israeli warplanes delivered air strikes on the Gaza Strip during a visit of the Egyptian prime minister, Palestinian Ambassador in Moscow Fayed Mustafa, who is monitoring the current tense situation online, said here on Friday.

“It is no surprise what is happening there,” he noted. “Israel is reluctant to stop aggression, because it seems to the country, that it was forced to do it. Israel intends to emerge a winner in the conflict,” the diplomat remarked. “But with all military strength of Israel security had not been obtained in the region for many years. It is possible to attain peace only in peaceful ways,” Mustafa noted.

“Certainly, this will aggravate the relations between Egypt and Israel. Egypt is already another country after the Arab Spring, the situation has changed cardinally,” the ambassador said with confidence.

The Egyptian authorities have earlier asked Israel to stop the hostilities during the visit of the Egyptian prime minister that was to last for 3-4 hours. Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu stated that Tel Aviv is ready to suspend the combat actions against the Hamas militants in the Gaza Strip during the visit.

Hisham Qandil is currently on “a visit of solidarity with the Palestinian people” in the Gaza Strip.
