Cable rupture makes Mission Control Centre unable to contact ISS

Team of repairmen is on the way to the place of the cable rupture

MOSCOW, November 14 (Itar-Tass) — A cable rupture in the Moscow region has endangered the Soyuz spaceship’s undocking from the International Space Station (ISS).

The ship is to bring an ISS crew back to Earth on November 19, a source at the Mission Control Centre said on Wednesday, November 14.

“The Mission Control Centre can neither receive not transmit commands to the Russian segment of the ISS because of the cable rupture,” the source said.

“Work is underway to remedy the situation. A team of repairmen is on the way to the place of the cable rupture,” the source added.
