MINSK, November 12 (Itar-Tass) — Belarus’s Internet media on Monday posted reports about an explosion that took place overnight in Vitebsk near the building of the local State Security Committee (KGB) office. Police are unavailable for comment.
Media reports refer to Pavel Levinov, a representative of Belarus’ Helsinki committee in Vitebsk, who said that a section of the building was cordoned off by policemen in uniform, and the lights were on in the building. According to Internet reports, a number of people were detained.
