Tugboat crew rescued

ROSTOV-ON-DON, November 11 (Itar-Tass) —— The three crewmembers from the tugboat Atoll in the Sea of Azov have been rescued and feel satisfactory, the press service of the Russian Emergencies Ministry's Southern Regional Centre told Itar-Tass on Sunday.

The sailors were rescued by the other tugboat Vasily Klimov, which arrived at the site after receiving the distress signal.

Border guards in the village Petrovskya, the Krasnodar Territory, received the distress signal at 21:55 Moscow time on Saturday.

According to the preliminary information, the tugboat towed a pontoon for repair of a pier, but suddenly went out of control and began to sink when it was five miles off the coast. The crew got onto the pontoon and waited for help.
