Crew of tugboat in distress in Sea of Azov

ROSTOV-ON-DON, November 10 (Itar-Tass) —— The crew of the tugboat Atoll in the Sea of Azov, the Krasnodar Territory, has sent a distress signal.

Another tugboat, the Vasily Klimov, is on the way to the site to help the crew, three sailors, the press service of the Russian Emergencies Ministry's Southern Regional Centre told Itar-Tass.

The distress signal was received by border guards in the village of Petrovskaya at 21:55 Moscow time.

According to the preliminary information, the tugboat towed a pontoon for repair of a pier, but suddenly went out of control and began to sink.

The crew got onto the pontoon. The people are waiting for help.

The site is five miles off the coast.
