Sobyanin calls for investing in roads construction in New Moscow

He recognised that transport problems of New Moscow should be solved only by the city budget

MOSCOW, November 10 (Itar-Tass) — Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin urges private investors to make investments in the construction of new roads in New Moscow.

The elements of a transport carcass of New Moscow have been determined. “These are the construction of the underground, the reconstruction of the Kaluga highway, the formation of the Soltsevo-Vidnoye-Butovo transport line and transport of the Skolkovo innovation centre,” the Moscow Mayor stressed.

“In addition, in 2013 six motor roads of the second category will be started building. They will link key highways in new territories,” he said at a session devoted to the overall planning of New Moscow on Saturday.

He recognised that transport problems of New Moscow should be solved only by the city budget. “The Moscow government hopes for your participation in the construction of roads where your facilities adjoin the transport network,” Sobyanin said by addressing dozens of investors.

Head of the Moscow construction complex Marat Khusnullin said after the reconstruction the Kaluga highway would have 10 traffic stripes. The draft for expanding the highway will be approximately ready in three months, he added.
