GORODISHCHE, Orel region, November 8 (Itar-Tass) — A two-year-old girl died and her father was hospitalized in a grave condition after they were run down by a drunk driver in the settlement of Gorodishche, Orel region, a spokesman for the regional police department told Itar-Tass on Thursday.
According to the spokesman, the accident took place at about 21:00 Moscow time on November 7. A married couple and their three minors were walking along a motor road, when a VAZ-2016 car driven by a local resident, born 1983, ran down the father and the girl. The girl died on the way to hospital.
According to preliminary data, the driver was drunk. He fled the scene. Later, police detained the man at his place of residence. It was further established that the man had no driving licenses.
