MOSCOW, November 7 (Itar-Tass) — U.S. Ambassador to the UN Susan Rice is a likely candidate to the post of the Secretary of State in the next Administration of the reelected President Barack Obama, Michael McFaul, the U.S. ambassador to Moscow said Wednesday in an interview with the Echo of Moscow Radio.
He said he could not tell for sure but rumors about Rice’s forthcoming appointment were circulating.
The incumbent Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, said earlier she will leave the office in 2013 no matter who wins the presidential election.
