Putin to hold meeting of presidential council for sport development

The meeting will focus on the tasks to develop the sport of records in Russia based on the assessment of the performances of Russian athletes at the 30th Olympics

MOSCOW, November 6 (Itar-Tass) —— Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold a meeting of the Russian Presidential Council for the Development of Physical Culture and Sports on Tuesday.

“The meeting will focus on the tasks to develop the sport of records in Russia based on the assessment of the performances of Russian athletes at the 30th Olympics and the 14th Paralympics in London in 2012,” the Kremlin press service reported.

First Deputy Speaker of the State Duma Alexander Zhukov, Sport Minister Vitaly Mutko, honorary President of the Russian Olympic Committee Vitaly Smirnov, leader of the Russian republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Governor of the Krasnodar Territory Alexander Tkachev, Russian human rights commissioner Vladimir Lukin and representatives of several ministries, agencies, sport federations and unions will attend the meeting.
