Electricity station failure leaves 25,000 people without electricity in Bryansk region

Energy specialists say electricity supplies will be resumed in a couple of hours

BRYANSK, November 4 (Itar-Tass) —— About 25,000 people have been left without electricity supplies in the settlement of Unecha in the Bryansk region in central European Russia because of a short circuit at a local electricity substation, a spokesman for the Russian emergencies ministry told Itar-Tass on Sunday evening.

According to the spokesman, the accident took place at 21:57 Moscow time. The local hospital has been switched to a reserve generator. Energy specialists say electricity supplies will be resumed in a couple of hours.
