About 90 people detained in Russia for participation in unsanctioned actions

More than 7,800 policemen were employed to protect public order during these actions

MOSCOW, November 4 (Itar-Tass) —— Some 90 people were detained across Russia for taking part in unsanctioned actions on Sunday, the National Unity Day, the press centre of the Russian interior ministry told Itar-Tass.

“A total of 88 people were detained for violations of the mass actions procedures under article 20.2 of the Russian Code of Administrative Offence. Administrative protocols were drawn against these people,” the press centre said.

“Sixty two actions organized on the occasion of the National Unity Day are already over in 26 Russian regions. More than 20,000 people took part in these actions,” the press centre informed.

More than 7,800 policemen were employed to protect public order during these actions.
