Over 50 participant in unauthorized religious march detained in Kazan

Police have sent the administrative protocol against the organizers of the action to a court of justice

KAZAN, November 4 (Itar-Tass) —— More than 50 people were detained in Kazan for taking part in an unauthorized march organized by the Society of Russian Culture, a spokesman for the interior ministry of the Russian republic of Tatarstan told Itar-Tass on Sunday.

According to the spokesman, fifty-five people marched along Kazan’s main street carrying a church banner with the Holy Saviour’s image. No violations of public order were reported.

Police have sent the administrative protocol against the organizers of the action to a court of justice.
