MOSCOW, November 4 (Itar-Tass) —— The Russian march began in downtown Moscow on Sunday. Several thousands of representatives and supporters of the nationalistic movements met for the march.
The march, which is led by the banner-bearers, is moving along the Yakimanskaya Embankment to the Krymskaya Embankment. Then a rally will be held on the Krymsky Val Street at the Central House of Artist.
Mainly young people are participating in the rally. Many of them put on the black spectacles and covered their faces with scarves. Many of them are carrying the posters, including those with the appeals to cancel Article 282 of the Criminal Code for instigation of hatred or strife and the humiliation of human dignity. The participating in the action are chanting nationalistic slogans and are distributing anti-presidential leaflets. Meanwhile, the demonstrators are demanding the freedom to retired colonel of the Main Intelligence Directorate Vladimir Kvachkov.
The organizers were planning that up to 10,000 people will participate in the march.
The situation is calm in general. Hundreds of reporters are covering the action. About 2,000 policemen, servicemen of the interior troops and voluntary guards are ensuring the law and order along the whole route of the march.
The Russian march is held already for four years and for the first time in the centre of Moscow, before this the Moscow authorities permitted it in the Moscow district Lyublino.
