Unidentified attackers drove to the officer's car and opened fire, killing the policeman

NALCHIK, November 3 (Itar-Tass) — A police officer was killed in an attack when unidentified persons opened fire on his car in Kabardino-Balkaria, a source at the Russian Investigative Committee's department in the republic told Itar-Tass on Saturday.

The 35-year-old lieutenant colonel of the Russian Interior Ministry's main department for the North Caucasian Federal District was killed at about 12:00 Moscow time on Saturday in the Zolskoye District in Kabardino-Balkaria on the Kavkaz federal road at the entry to the settlement of Zalukokoazhe. Unidentified attackers drove to the officer's car and opened fire, killing the policeman.

A group of investigators went to the site.
