Post of Russia resumes regular operations to US

Temporary embargo on delivery of correspondence to New York by Aeroflot flights has been overcomed

MOSCOW, November 2 (Itar-Tass) — Post of Russia resumed regular services to the United States of America, which were terminated by Hurricane Sandy, the company’s press service reported on Friday.

The mail will be shipped to the US from Moscow’s Sheremetyevo airport by transit flights via Paris, the source said.

“Thus, we have overcome the temporary embargo on delivery of correspondence to New York by Aeroflot flights – the major carrier of mail to the US,” the source said explaining the aviation carrier resumed its flights to the US on November 1, but as yet it does not take correspondence aboard.
