MOSCOW, October 31 (Itar-Tass) —— The Russian airline Transaero will resume flights to New York on November 1.

The flights were suspended because of Hurricane Sandy.

“Having studied the actual situation at New York’s JFK Airport and having received all the necessary permits from the airport administration and U.S. aviation authorities, the airline Transaero has made the decision that its flight UN 1111/2222 Moscow -- New York – Moscow scheduled for October 31 will be made on November 1,” the airline said.

The flight will leave from Moscow’s Domodedovo Airport at 11:10 Moscow time.

This is the only Transaero flight that was postponed because of the storm in the United States. All the other flights to the U.S. took place as scheduled.
