One more criminal case against former head of Borodino authorities passed to court

Maya Sklyuyeva was earlier convicted in the criminal case over the illegal allocation of land plots for the construction of countryside houses on the Battlefield of Borodino

MOSCOW, October 31 (Itar-Tass) — Another criminal case was passed to the court in the Moscow Region against former head of the rural settlement Borodinskoye in the Mozhaisk district Maya Sklyuyeva, who was earlier convicted in the criminal case over the illegal allocation of land plots for the construction of countryside houses on the Battlefield of Borodino, a source in the Russian Prosecutor General’s Office told Itar-Tass on Wednesday.

“The Mozhaisk city prosecutor approved an indictment in the criminal case against former head of the rural settlement Borodinskoye Maya Sklyuyeva, who is accused of fraud. The criminal case has been passed over to the Mozhaisk city court,” the source said.

The detectives found that in 1993-2007 when Sklyuyeva worked in the authorities of the rural settlement Borodinskoye, she and her former chief that was the head of this settlement at the moment, acquired the possession right for two land plots, which are situated within the boundaries of the village Staroye Selo, through fraud.

“As a result the land plots, the total market price of which reached 3.8 million roubles, were taken away from the lawful possession of the Mozhaisk district authorities that entailed massive proprietary damages to the district budget,” the source said.

Earlier on September 24 the Mozhaisk city court sentenced Sklyuyeva to five years in prison under another criminal case over illegal assignment of the lands for countryside construction on the Battlefield of Borodino. She was found guilty of the abuse of powers and the fraud with the office abuse. The court found her guilty on four counts and also sentenced her to a fine of 500,000 roubles.

The mother and husband of Sklyuyeva were sentenced to one and two years in suspension, respectively, under the foresaid criminal case, realtor Alexander Gritskevich was sentenced to three years in suspension and a fine of 300,000 roubles.

Then the court ruled that Sklyuyeva forged the property registration certificates for four land plots, processing them for her close relatives: mother – Raisa Gavva and husband – Sergei Sklyuyev. They were also charged with fraud. Realtor Gritskevich became the fourth defendant in the criminal case.

The detectives found that as a result of Sklyuyeva’s actions four land plots near Staroye Selo at the cost of over ten million roubles were misappropriated. Meanwhile, the head of the settlement decided illegally to change the type of possession of ten land plots, as a result 38 hectares of land were transferred for countryside construction.
