KAZAN, October 31 (Itar-Tass) — RF Vice-Premier Arkady Dvorkovich is to tour Naberezhnyye Chelny and Yelabuga on Wednesday to explore the innovative economy of the Republic of Tatarstan, an official in the press service of the Head of the Republic told Itar-Tass.
When in Naberezhnyye Chelny, the Vice-Premier will visit an IT-park, a branch of the Kazan one, with an aggregate production area of over 23,000 square metres. It was built within less than one year and was put into operation in August this year. By the time the building was inaugurated, it was already half-filled with offices of domestic resident companies. There are now 22 of them there. The management of the enterprise assures that by 2014 the number of workers will total 1,600 with an average wage of 30,000 roubles, and the number of resident companies will grow up to 60.
Housing is to be built for the IT specialists. In conjunction with Kazan (Volgan) Federal University, a branch of the Higher School of Information Technologies and Systems has opened in Naberezhnyye Chelny for the training of personnel for the IT sector. The IT-park in Kazan with a branch at Naberezxhnyye Chelny, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said, "Is the most successful project". The Kazan IT-park has a full complement of resident companies. Their aggregate annual turnover in 2012 is to amount to 4,000 million roubles (as against 3,000 million RUR in 2011). Products developed at the enterporise are sold in more than 50 regions of Russia. "There must be many more such facilities," the Head of the Republic believes.
The Vice-Premier will also tour the shops and the main conveyor of the KAMAZ autoworks. When in Yelabuga, Dvorkovich is to tour enterprises of the "Alabuga Special Economic Area, where 25 redident companies from Germany, Denmark, Italy, Russia, the United States, Turkey, France, the Republic of Korea, and Japan have set up staff or are building their production plants.
