About 800 people take part in opposition meeting in Moscow

The action was held in Novopushkinsky Square in central Moscow

MOSCOW, October 30 (Itar-Tass) — No more than 800 people took part in an opposition meeting in Moscow timed to the Day of Remembrance of Victims of Political Repression marked on October 30, the press service of the Moscow police department told Itar-Tass.

“No more than 800 people took part in the meeting. It was covered by 150 reporters and bloggers,” an officer from the press service said. The action was held in Novopushkinsky Square in central Moscow.

The meeting passed a resolution demanding to stop unfoundedly launched criminal proceedings against political activists, their unconditional release as well as the resignation of chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation Alexander Bastrykin.
