Russian Culture Festival underway in India

Participants are expected to perform in Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Kullu and New Delhi

NEW DELHI, October 30 (Itar-Tass) — Triumphant performances of Russian artists are underway in India in the Russian Culture Festival.

The masters of the Bolshoi, Mariinsky and Mikhailovsky Theatres are performing on the best stages of the Mumbai megalopolis. The Barynya state dance ensemble performances and plays of the Russian Academic Youth Theatre invariably draw capacity audiences. The exhibition Image of India in the Russian Theatre Art from the funds of the Moscow Bakhrushin Museum has aroused much interest of the city residents.

In addition to Mumbai, the participants in the Russian Culture Festival in India will also perform in the cities of Bangalore, Chennai and Kullu.

The festival will end on November 1 with a grand gala concert in the Indian capital New Delhi. According to the organisers of this event, the culture festivals of India in Russia and of Russia in India will now be held annually - in each country in succession.
